Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future

Hong Bao Media now publishes an annual Sustainability Report. Prepared in alignment with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, our report offers a transparent and measurable account of our environmental, social, and economic impacts, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable development.

Our sustainability strategy is built on three core pillars:

Environmental Responsibility:

We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact through sustainable practices in energy use and waste management.

Social Responsibility:

We prioritize equitable labor practices and inclusivity to foster a positive social impact and ethical treatment of stakeholders.

Economic Responsibility:

We aim to support long-term sustainability by fostering local partnerships, sourcing responsibly, and maintaining financial stability

In 2024, we took 94 flights across Malaysia, Jakarta, Bangkok and the GCC

With Scoot’s carbon offsetting scheme (shown below), we have offset the carbon of 38% of all flights taken in 2024.

According to SP Group, our Singapore office consumed on average 1,034.7kWh per month from January to October 2024, creating a carbon footprint of 4,263kg of CO2e. This is an 18% increase from 2023

In 2024, we consumed an average of 18.1 cubic metres of water per month, a 22.9% decrease from 2023 monthly usage. This decreased our carbon footprint by 2.39kgCO2.

Refuse, reuse, recycle

We are a service-based company with no material waste or emissions. So, we focus our sustainability action on adjacencies.

We minimise printing by distributing workshop notes electronically, and tracking paper- and power usage using the monthly FUJIFILM BI Direct Green Report for our Multi-Function Device.

Further, we have eliminated the use of disposable cups in our office, replacing them with glassware for client refreshments.

We generate a small amount of e-waste such as worn-out batteries, so we have adopted e-waste recycling as a sustainability effort:
